Upgrade Token – CCA Guidelines ‘Security Requirements for Crypto Devices’ – Manual Update
ProxKey has upgraded its new CSP to meet the new CCA Guidlines ‘ Security Requirements for Crypto Devices’. Existing stocks tokens will require update to to download new Certificate from July 1, 2018. Token in which certificate is already downloaded before July 1, 2018 will continue to work for all normal functions (Except downloading of new certificate)

Upgrade Process
In order to update your existing unused stock*, ProxKey has introduced HASSLE FREE Upgrade process in 2 Steps

Manually Install latest ProxKey driver – DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVER HERE
DO NOT CONNECT ANY TOKEN BEFORE INSTALLATION OF NEW DRIVER V5.0 IS COMPLETE. IF YOU CONNECT ANY TOKEN BEFORE NEW DRIVER INSTALLATION IT WILL BE OF NO USE WITH NEW CSP
- Connect Unused Token* – It will prompt ‘ Your Token needs Update’ – Click OK
- Update is successful
- To Verify whether token is updated, Click on ‘Device Information’ & Locate ‘Token Update Status’.

IF STATUS IS YES – NEW DSC CAN BE DOWNLOADED

IF STATUS IS NO – NEW DSC CANNOT BE DOWNLOADED

*This update process is only for limited series of token. If your token is not prompted for update by the software, please refer our article for offline upgrade of tokens
UNABLE TO UPDATE DRIVER
Unable to find ” Token update status” after installation of new driver.
Token update status is applicable only for Serial number of Token SPG1060000 and above. Please check your serial. If its below SPG106000 the status cannot be seen

My token series starts with SPG
I have Token with Serial number of Token SPG0512678, it can be upgrade
I have token serial # SPP037086 (note it is SPP) and I followed the instructions for installing the update, but I do not get the ‘Your Token needs Update’ message. I also do not see any ‘Token Update Status’ in the device info. I am unable to download new certificate from Capricorn into this device. Any suggestions ???
SPP series is not supported any more. You will have to use a new token

I CANT UPDATE MY PROXKEY DRIVER UNDER OPTIONS MENU… WHEN I CLICK ON UPDATE BUTTON, ITS WRITTEN…” CAN’T FIND UPDATESET.INI” AND THUS UNABLE TO PROCEED FURTHER WITH TOKEN UPDATION.
I HAVE UNINSTALLED THE OLDER VERSION AND INSTALLED THE NEW VERSION AND THEN RESTARTED MY COMPUITER BUT PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.
PLS SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

my token number starts with SPG0721751 to SPG0721800 AND SPG0721851 TO SPG0721900 these tokens are empty tokens that is without dsc can i update these tokens and take dsc or not?
